LegolandLast spring Legoland announced plans to open a theme park in Olathe, but was ultimately unable to reach an agreement with government officials. So now the developers have shifted to the Missouri side and are negotiating with Lee’s Summit on a site at I-470 and US 50, adjacent to the Summit Technology Campus.

Apparently what sold the developers on Lee’s Summit was that city’s agreement to allow taupe and khaki legos, in addition to the beige and mauve required in Olathe.

In addition to taupe and khaki, they’re sure to see plenty of $Green on the Missouri side, too. I’m sure the bean field they’re looking as is very blighted and requires TIF to clean it up.
