3rd District candidate polling

Last night the Church/Community Organization, along with other churches and neighborhood groups, held a forum for candidates in the 3rd District City Council races.  Here are the results of their informal poll of forum attendees, with 52 ballots cast.

3rd District (In-District)
Brandon Ellington: 44%
Sharon Sanders-Brooks: 32%
Saundra McFadden-Weaver: 16%
Carol Coe: 4%
Teola Powell: 4%

3rd District (At-Large)
Dee Williams: 71%
Melba Curls: 29%

    Thank God that the 3rd District is waking up to the lack of leadership from its elected officals. I have seen and met Brandon Ellington at a couple of the forums and have seen this man walking the neighborhoods talking with the residents, and they are supporting him. We are ready for a change.
