Minimum wage not for everyone
March 7, 2007 |
Missouri’s new minimum wage increase included a raise for tipped employees like waiters, but Governor Blunt’s administration is actively encouraging employers to ignore the new law. Save Our Tips is a new campaign asking the governor to follow the law.

While waiting tables in college over the last few years, the $2.13/hour we made never even covered my income taxes.
Blunt is a moron. Thanks alot St. Louis.
Baby Blunt sure is ignoring a lot of inconvenient laws these days. First the Fred Ferrell incident where the secret “settlement” check was drawn from the wrong account. Now this. I hope the Democrats are taking notes.
Frank,
What are you talking about? McCaskill carried St. Louis City and St. Louis County (the burbs)by wide margins in 2004. She had a tougher time of it in Jackson and Clay counties.
It’s offensive to keep the people who work so hard on less than slave wages.
Gotta love how Republicans go nuts over every instance of “corrupt” or “criminal” Democrats yet have such a habit as of late of just ignoring any law they don’t agree with.
I can’t believe Blunt. What a freaking weasel. First he cuts First Steps, then Medicaid, then the Fee Office stuff, then Fred Ferrell, and now this. Everyone should sign this petition. Get on board folks, and let’s fix this thing.
And let’s vote out Blunt in 2008.
don’t forget how he raped the DMV kiki
