In the midst of the debate over tax breaks and downtown vs neighborhood redevelopment, the Downtown Council has released a bunch of numbers on Downtown’s economic contribution to the city.  Highlights include…

18% of earnings tax revenue
22% of convention and tourism taxes
13% of business license taxes
25% of sales taxes
