I would sooner vote for Satan himself.

But that’s not professional! She’d already decided she was going to run for Congress while she was still Mayor! How can we trust anything she did as Mayor then?!?!!?!?!!

If Pat Gray, Steve Glorioso and Jeff Roe are in the mix, it ought to be a nasty but entertaining race to watch.

But I’m glad she’s not in my district. We already have a mediocre former mayor turned mediocre Congressman, thank you very much.

The last time that mediocre congressman was in the district for one of his ‘office coffees’, I visited with him for a while. He was supposed to get some information and get back with me. I haven’t heard from him, but I did come away from the meeting with a picture of myself with the congressman that was taken by his aide and then autographed.

    I’d rather have the information.

Replacing a hard core RR type who sponsors a bill to completely ban ESCR is a good thing whoever the replacement is.

There are some, myself included, who don’t think she’s running against Graves. Unseating Graves is going to be an uphill battle no matter who it is. The rural Republicans and Conservatives who make up most of the 6th district like Graves and want to keep him. On the other hand, if she tells people she’s running against Graves, Democrats dislike him enough that they’ll throw money at her just to get rid of him. She can then use that hefty war chest to run for Governor. In that race she gets either a push over incumbent, or a fellow challenger if Blunt decides not to run.

    insiderGuy,

That’s an interesting scenario. Kay Barnes for Governor. I don’t know how much of a pushover AG Jay Nixon would be though. Then there’s the question of how much support Barnes would get from strongly Democratic St. Louis. She did make some unpleasant and untrue remarks about that city during the Sprint Arena campaign. Neither race is going to be cheap or easy for Barnes to win.
