Those crazy Lawrence kids must think that artistic expression stops with a blog entry from a coffee house computer, as the art installation “Prayer Booth” was damaged by vandals over the weekend. The installation — which appeared on downtown Kansas City’s Avenue of the Arts in 2003 — is the creation of Kansas City Art Institute alum Dylan Mortimer and has also been seen in New York and Chicago. Mortimer also created the “Upraised Arms” installation that graces the 10th and Main transit center.
