Barnes to make it official
The Star reports that former KC Mayor Kay Barnes will announce her campaign for the US House of Representatives on Monday, in her hometown of St. Joseph. Later that day she will appear in Maryville, Chillicothe, and KC. Cousin Walter Cronkite will not be in attendance. Fired Up notes a Roll Call article that suggests Barnes is already drawing some support from a Missouri Republican party weary of incumbent Sam Graves, including Senator Kit Bond and Missouri House Speaker Rod Jetton.

It’s Sam Graves, not Todd. Todd Graves is the former U.S. attorney who was forced out of his job.

Not to defend the editing practices of The Star (I don’t know if you can), but was this important story mentioned on any of the LOCAL TELEVISION STATIONS? I would love to know.

    Maybe as LATE-BREAKING INVESTIGATIVE REPORT?
Or are we giving the TV Talking Heads a free pass on reporting important news?

My guess is they didn’t report this story at all, and instead reported on roaming perverts and restaurants with cockroaches.
