@BlogKCThe mayor’s office has announced its initial schedule of town hall meetings where you can meet and ask questions of newly-elected Mark Funkhouser. The town hall meetings were a campaign pledge and appear to represent a more open style of governing than that of You-Know-Who. It’s worth noting that Mike Sanders will be tag-teaming with Funkhouser at the July 19 session to speak directly with Crossroads property owners about their hefty tax increases (listen to the KCUR podcast of Sanders talking about the issue). We’re also sure it’s no accident that the first session on Thursday is being held in oft-forgotten 3rd District.
On a side note, Funkhouser will soon be tooling around KC in a donated Honda Civic Hybrid.
