Plaza-Wide Wi-Fi

July 11, 2007 |

The Business Journal reports that the Country Club Plaza is launching a wireless Internet service across it’s 15-block area. The service is free to Time Warner Cable customers. Others can pay $9 or 24 hours or $35 for a month. The Legends strip mall in KCK is also offering a similar system from TWC.

Hourly rates would be nice too.

Note that “free to Time Warner Cable customers” actually means “free to Time Warner Cable RoadRunner customers”. If you just get cable from TWC, or use one of the other ISPs that TWC offers, you’re just out of luck.

This is awesome! Now I have something to do when I head to the plaza to shop with my wife.

When I’m at the plaza shopping with my wife I am too busy paying bills to have time to attempt internet access.
