As a KS resident who works in MO, I object strongly to these comments. I pay MO taxes and your governor just eliminated the deduction we could take to get a little of our tax money back. I spend a lot of money in MO, I pay state taxes and that ridiculous city earnings tax. And my work contributes the the economy in KCMO. It's time we thought of this area as a community and quit this state rivalry nonsense.

That being said, I do agree this anti stem cell group is wrong. I just think it is possible to criticize them without playing KS vs MO games.

You'd think the JoCoers would have enough on their plates with objecting to evolution, trying to ban books in schools, and obsessing over George Tiller. Someone needs to tell these self-righteous nags that what money they spend across state lines does not entitle them to a say in what happens in Missouri. They can either move or butt out.

Usually it's the JoCo people complaining about the riff raff from Jackson County.

But why can't the JoCo riff raff stay on their side of State Line Road, both politically and physically? Kansas has already made an ass of itself with the Kansas Board of Education follies. Now this cabal wants to poop in the soup in Missouri?
