Two years later, Blunt finally take’s BlogKC’s advice

Two years ago I criticized Governor Blunt for preaching about energy conservation after he bought a fleet of gas-guzzling SUVs to enable his wasteful, 140 mile commute between Springfield and Jefferson City. At the time I asked why couldn’t at least buy hybride SUVs which are made right in Missouri at Ford’s Claycomo plant.

Well, no the Governor has no excuse after Ford gave him an Escape hybrid from Claycomo. I just wonder how the donation will be received by the media and the public after the row that happened when Honda donated a hybrid to Mayor Funkhouser.

    i’m sure the Escape will sit idle while blunt continues his treks via a herd of dubbed-out Denalis. does the gov get a car allowance? if he does, i hope he doesn’t try and keep it!

    Well, I’m sure the Star will lead with it in the front page for several days, and the blogosphere will explode with fury. It will be starting up any minute now. Right?
