While the idea of setting Flush Brush Creek on fire might seem crazy to some, Saturday night’s Waterfire event was actually quite good. Tons of people lined the creek banks and the Lyric Opera’s dark soundtrack set the mood. Local photographer Eric Bowers has some great shots of the event. If you missed it, there will be a repeat performance on October 13.

I remember that they did a test of this idea last year, but then I never heard another word about it. Nice to know they decided to do it.
I’m for just about anything that’s different and brings people of the community together.
Let’s hope the creek doesn’t catch fire!
