Update: Sorry folks, it’s the 29th, not the 21st!
Saturday, September 29th the Historic Kansas City Foundation is hosting a homes tour in Old Briarcliff, one of the more interesting neighborhoods in the Northland. In addition some cool houses, the neighborhood has some awesome views of Downtown and the Missouri River Valley. Old Briarcliff is the area east of US 169 Hwy, but parking is available on the other side of the highway in the new Briarcliff West shopping district. Shuttles will run between there and the houses.

I thought Mayor Kay, John Fairfield, Chuck Eddy, Deb Hermann, etal declared that area blighted and thought the best way to fix it was a huge handout to Hunt Midwest to build a Lowe’s???
The Lowe’s is going in at North Oak and Vivion, which is a few miles east of Old Briarcliff.
I hope nobody went THIS weekend, since it’s actually taking place September 29th.
A great event sponsored by an important organization to KC. I’m a tour volunteer, and I’m very excited about this years homes. Also, for those of you who think home tours are all about decor – this is a different event. Tour guides will also tell you about the history of the home and neighborhood.
