West 39th Street is getting all sexed-up these days. Recently an upscale sex toy store called Wink opened between Terrace and Wyoming Streets, next to Boomerang. Now they are joined by a reincarnation of Deborah’s, a leather and fetish boutique formerly located in the Northland. It’s further east in the odd strip mall near Southwest Trafficway. So now you can stop off to pick up a dildo or some leather wear after dining on restaurant row.

By “sexy” do you mean trashy?
Wasn’t Kay Barnes was a clinical sexologist?
I can’t speak for Deborah’s, but I personally visited Wink and I find it isn’t what you can call a sex shop. While they do have items you can find in any sex shop, they sell them with class, and EDUCATION.
The owner of Wink is a sexologist, very nice person. Everything she sells has been researched, and nothing sounds dirty or vulgar.
It is time for people to get in touch with their sexuality, and it seems you get more for what you pay for at Wink.
And no, this isn’t an ad. I just wanted to share my personal experience.
is anyone concerned about Neighborhoods and what the advent of hopped up 39th street is doing to the neighbors on either side of the street?
does anyone care $800,000 has been designated for the Historic Roanoke Community Center and nary a cent has been spent?
who gets the interest? are the neighbors interested. the neighborhood president announced this Event and Blessing of monies was discussed in a Special Meeting. Is this different from her regular meetings which are rarely inviting to anyone other than board members and politicians?
