Arena tours on the 10s

October 10th is your one time to check out the new Sprint Center free of any Ticketbastard charges. The arena will hold an open house and tour just before the official opening on October 13. The open house is from 10:10 a.m. to 10:10 p.m. on 10/10. Get it? For the Downtown newbies and parking-obsessed, this would be a good time to practice. The city has a handy new map (PDF) for you. Or check out the MAX park-and-ride lots at 3rd & Grand and 75th & Wornall.  The KCATA has already pledged to increase bus frequencies on event nights and keep buses running late enough to get everyone home.

    a round-trip on the bus ($2.50) is cheaper than ANY downtown parking space (even moreso on event days) — unless you can find a working meter on the street — and on KC buses you don’t even need exact change!

    here’s an even better idea: spring for a day pass ($3) and hit westport or the plaza on the way home.

    I still have not seen one event that I am really excited about… maybe if Blue Man Group actually comes… we’ll have to wait and see.

    This is a great way for KCATA to find demand for late night, even all-night, use for MAX. Please take advantage of it, and it needs to run ON TIME.

    Do we just show up at the Sprint on 10/10 or do we need to purchase tickets in advance?
