Border War Pep Rallies
November 19, 2007 |
Friday night, boosters of MU and KU will hold pep rallies in advance of the big football game. In this contest it looks like MU has scored the cool points. The KC Tiger Club has secured the KC Live! entertainment zone in the Power & Light district. This will be the first-ever event in this covered plaza soon to be surrounded by bars and live music, just across the street from the new Sprint Center.
Meanwhile, KU fans will be gathered in the parking lot of a strip mall
MU pep rally: 7:00 p.m., Power & Light District, 13th and Grand, KCMO
KU pep rally: 7:00 p.m., 83rd and Mission, Prairie Village

Where else did you expect KU to hold their rally? The only thing that side of the city has is strip malls and parking lots.
Perhaps we could have a Bi-State vote and this time Kansas gets the money…
Wow, you mean the KU “grads” employed in sanitation and food service fields couldn’t pool their minimum wage savings and swing those posh digs?
Shocka!
All of the TRUE Tiger fans will be at the KU rally booing! Like we do every March when our team is at home. Good thing we have a football team with some semblance of tradition. MU 44, KU 31
Funny thing about Mizzou… they always choke when the big game is on the line. Doesn’t matter what sport but Kansas is always ranked higher. This was supposed to be the Tigers’ year and the Jayhawks, who nobody expected, came along and got ranked higher. Life isn’t fair for Misery!

Steve’s comment says a lot…
Many Mizzou fans hate Kansas more than they actually like their own team! Didn’t your parents teach you not to be jealous of others and worry about yourself first?
Vlasic, I love MU but those shirts are ridiculous.
A vote for MU is a vote for slavery.
Who’s voting? As I see it, the only ones with any control over the game’s outcome are the players.
Chris:
Yes it is sad, we’ve had to watch KU bury us in bball all these years! Life, is not fair! If we lose, we’ll be whiners in football now too!
Its funny how missouri has all the nicer things, but most of the $$$ is in kansas…..isnt that something
Missouri is for bums
the game could most definetly go either way. can’t we all just get along and watch some good football?
