While the attention of the nation was on Kansas City for the MU-KU border war and Missouri’s move into first place, KC-area high school teams were in St. Louis cleaning up at the state championship. Rockhurst, Lee’s Summit West, Harrisonville, Lawson, and Orrick all won their divisions. If it wasn’t for a Belton loss, we would have swept the entire state.
