KMBC-TV reports that a jogger has been hit by an automobile at the Downtown Airport. The road circling the airport is very popular with runners and bicyclists because it is flat and circular. While one might wonder why someone would use this road, the fact is that there are really no good alternatives in the area. People will run, walk, and bicycle whether or not a city provides “official” places for them. And when a city fails to provide safe and convenient facilities you often see wrecks like this one.

I agree. When I lived by the stadium I walked there all the time. It’s popular with walkers also. There was really no where else close by.
