Beer and Trains

In addition to the usual First Friday art openings in the The Crossroads, a couple unique things are going on Saturday.
Trains
On Saturday morning there is a public meeting where you can learn about the possibility of passenger rail service from Kansas City to Texas via Lawrence, Topeka, and Wichita in Kansas. The Northern Flyer Alliance will present their plan at 10:30 a.m. at Union Station.
Beer
Saturday afternoon Power Plant Brewery in Parkville will host their second Strong Ale Beer Festival. Local favorites like Boulevard and McCoys will be joined by out of state darlings like Dogfish Head, O’Fallon, and many more. The beer flows pretty freely at this festival, so make sure get a driver or call a cab.
