Prime Buzz has City Council members’ reaction to Mayor Funkhouser’s sacking of City Manager Wayne Cauthen. The majority are upset with both the outcome and the way it was handled. Perhaps the mayor could have picked up his new iPhone and made some phone calls to the Council. It will be interesting to see if they do anything more than protest. It appears they don’t have any direct power over the decision, but the situation seems to be begging for some leadership.

Most of the council is secretly VERY pleased that Funk did the dirty work for them, so they don’t have to take the heat.
