Well there are three in west port counting starbucks and you could count tea drops as 4. Why is parking so bad?? oh wait our transit system sucks and those that don’t live nearby have to drive, but that is another story.

Yea. Parking is terrible if you are trying to get to Starbucks in Westport. But there are two coffee shops on Westport – Broadway Cafe and the Broadway Roasting Company (East of Broadway).

The one time I went to KC, a friend of mine took me to the Broadway Cafe. Like Megan, I was happy to see the indie was full of customers and the chain was empty.

This is too bad. Starbucks is making a huge mistake closing this store. How will the people of Westport get their coffee?? They will have to go all the way over to 43 and Main or the Plaza. What a walk that will be!

I am really pleased to hear this! I go to Broadway Cafe all the time, and find it quite funny that the Starbucks next door seems to be quite empty. Go local business!

If people are going to park blocks away, they’ll do it for Broadway Cafe, but not Starbucks. Especially with the Starbucks on Main having both a drive-thru and a huge parking lot.
