@BlogKCJust like clockwork, Kansas Citians have freaked out at our first significant snow and forgotten how to drive. The Scout system is lit up like Chuck Eddy at Twin City Tavern. At this moment there are three wrecks on I-35, and at one point this morning there were four separate wrecks on I-70. Katie Horner has her catheter inserted and is prepped for 48 hours in front of the weather map.

Update: KCMO has activated Phase 1 of its snow ordinance. This means that motorists who get stuck without snow tires will be ticketed.

If you were watching the local news on TV, you would of thought the city is closing down. I’m sure there is a 0 missing on the snow amounts when the local news reports the snow amount.
No truer thing has ever been said. KC drivers forget how to drive in snow during the summer.

I WANT TO KNOW WHY THE WRECK INVOLVING MY SISTER WAS NOT REPORTED. AT APPROXIMATELY 6AM THURS (2/21/08) MORNING, MY SISTER & HER BOYFRIEND WERE HIT BY A SEMI-TRUCK & TRAILER IN THE BIRMINGHAM AREA. THIS PERSON LEFT THEM W/O KNOWING IF THEY WERE DEAD OR ALIVE.MY SISTER IS NOW IN NKC HOSPITAL & WILL UNDERGO SURGERY FRI MORNING ON HER ARM WHICH WAS BROKEN. SHE ALSO HAS LACERATIONS TO HER HEAD & FACE & WAS KNOCKED UNCONSCIOUS. THIS PERSON SHOULD BE FOUND & NOT ALLOWED ON THE RD TO HURT OTHERS. WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO GOOD SAMARITANS, OR CONCERN FOR OTHERS?
