Landlord Licensing has started

In October 2007 the KCMO City Council adopted a new rental housing registration program that mandates virtually all rental property must be registered with the city by February.  Landlord interests were able to get the new law watered down significantly, so that most buildings will be registered but not inspected.  Only specific target neighborhoods will be inspected, but those have not yet been announced.  The new law also exempts units rented to family members or duplexes where there owner lives in one half of the building.

    That could cause quite a stir once implementation of some inspections starts later this year.

    What does it have to do with furniture and trash being out by the curb?
