Presidential Candidates in KC
January 25, 2008 |
Update: Barack Obama’s town hall meeting has been scheduled for 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday at Municipal Auditorium. Here are the details.
Democratic presidential candidates are turning their attention to Missouri ahead of the February 5th primary. John Edwards and Hillary Clinton were in St. Louis last week. Next up is KC.
Bill Clinton will be here tomorrow (Saturday) night for a rally at William Chrisman High School in Independence.
Barack Obama will be here Tuesday evening, but the exact time and location have yet to be determined.
So far there is no word on Republican candidates visiting Missouri.

Republicans don’t stand a chance after what’s happened in the past 8 years. And I’m a Republican.
I guess I’ll choose Obama, since the only Republican I like (Ron Paul) doesn’t stand a chance of getting nominated.
All I ask of any candidate is, “Please get our troops home!”
It’s kind of interesting that the headline reads “Candidates” as in plural. Last time I checked Bill is not a candidate. It would be illegal for him to be. He’s had his two terms But unfortunately the American people see him as a candidate. Why do we think Barack commented at the debate that he felt like he was running against two people. He is. Bill can do shoot off his mouth about anything with no repercussions while Hillary gets to play the nice guy. Do you think Michelle Obama would pull as much political clout as Bill would? Of course not. And the Clinton’s know this and are abusing it to it’s fullest potential. The Clinton’s will lie, cheat, steal, whatever to get back into the White House.
It’s a sad state of affairs
Show them what you have Bill.
Bill Clinton running around acting like a little league dad defending his kid is nauseating. Obama will get my vote as a consequence.
I also think it’s interesting the headlines read “turning their attention to Missouri”. Bill Clinton arrived and was rallying at the same time the South Carolina vote was coming in. Does anyone think this may have been a strategy to downplay Obama’s win and sway KC to miss what is going on in the rest of the country? Hillary did the same thing in Tennessee.
I may have wanted to attend and hear the Clinton’s message but opted to stay home and watch the South Carolina VICTORY! When given a choice like that, Obama’s got my vote. I appreciate FOX 4 news channel for equal covering both events and not only the Clinton arrival. Viewers have a right to be informed.
The local media may soon be called upon to be very, very objective, I hope they are up for this challenge.
Tim, you nailed it. I didn’t want that to happened to me either. I wanted Hillary, she has the experience. But I don’t want Billary
