Watch out for road closures in the city and the Northland tomorrow. The Star reports that President Bush will be making appearances on the Plaza and in Crown Center in the morning.  Then he will be passing through Downtown around lunch time, en route to Parkville for a Sam Graves fundraiser.

    It’s a nice setup:
Bush comes into a town, screws up traffic, raises money in private homes for crooked Republicans and never has to be bothered by those awful, dirty average American citizens!

    Mission Accomplished!

Oh, I know the democratic candidates are not crooked and would never inconvenience Average American Citizens. Give me a break, atleast the Republican’s aren’t having sexual rendevouz in the White House, that we know of.

You’re right. Republicans having “sexual rendevouz” is the worst possible problem our country could face.

Our fragile American morals can’t handle sexual liasons, but we can all stand around twiddling our thumbs while the economy goes down the crapper and money is thrown down into the bottomless pit we created in Iraq. Republican “leaders” think you can cut taxes, fight two wars and create tons of deficit and everything will be okey-dokey as long as we don’t have gay marriage and brown people from Mexico “destroying” our way of life.

    Gotcha.

You are right, Pamela. Republicans have their sexual scandals in airport bathrooms and with young boys.

Are you seriously criticizing Bill Clinton for having a heterosexual affair after so many prominent gay-bashing Republicans have been outed in gay sex scandals??

    MuHaHaHaHa!!!!!!!!!!!

Sam Graves to get the kiss of death!

    MuHaHaHaHa!!!!!!!!!!!

    Capt. Spaulding,

Let’s hope that Graves does get the “kiss of death”.

BUT… that’s the reason the Republicans have their fundraisers at private homes. Bush shows up and the invited “loyal Bushies” end up falling all over themselves to be in the presence of GW’s mediocrity that they don’t mind donating thousand of dollars to Graves. This is also a good strategy because Bush and Graves don’t have to worry about the press (they’re not invited) noticing the types of corporate and political slime they socialize with.

End result: Graves gets his $$ without being seen sucking up to one of the most unpopular Presidents in American history.
    Hey, it worked for Blunt.

Well, that was the most ridiculous trip to work ever. Every northbound street from Summit to Oak was blocked off or rerouted or some nonsense. The best part was that cops were just standing by the roadblocks, not directing any traffic. Ugh.

EVERYTIME a president, presidential candidate or other big time celebrity type person comes to town, traffic gets snarled beyond belief. so you can’t blame bush for this one.
