Plaza switches local for chain

Today the Star reports that the Country Club Plaza is replacing the locally-owned George Brett’s restaurant with Fogo de Chão, a Brazilian steakhouse chain. This will be the city’s second such restaurant. The locally-owned alternative is En Chamas, a popular Brazilian steakhouse in the Tuileries shopping center at I-29 and NW 64th Street.

I’ve heard that Em Chamas is looking to move to the P&L district for a second location…
Great food, great new location for them, IMHO.

Chain or not, it’s got to be better than George Brett’s…

This will be the third Brazilian Steakhouse in the area. Amor de Brazil on Metcalf & 119th is by far the best I have tried. Fogo does not match in quality. At least the one I visited in Houston!
