Richard Tolbert played the media?

Bottom Line Communications asserts that Richard Tolbert played the media in his recent campaign to “save” Bannister Mall from redevelopment into a soccer stadium and business/retail complex.  John Landsberg argues that Tolbert used the phony campaign simply get himself some free press. He goes on to argue that the petition to recall Mayor Funkhouser is likely a similar attention-grabbing effort.
