On April 8th KCMO voters will be asked to renew a 3/8th of a cent sales tax for public transportation.  This is one of two KCMO sales taxes that pay for Metro bus service in the city. It was originally approved in 2003 and has resulted in improvements like MAX on Main Street and soon to be on Troost, a 30% expansion of Northland bus routes, and many new buses added to the fleet.

Light rail will likely be on the November ballot, and it will require a good bus system to be successful.
