@BlogKCGoogle Maps has a great feature that lets you map out directions from Point A to Point B using public transportation, and they have just added Metro bus routes for the KC Area Transportation Authority. The coverage includes all most of the metro area – KCMO, KCK, and the Missouri suburbs. The only missing area is Johnson County, which has its own separate bus system.

This is really great. Unfortunately it doesn’t cover the JoCo bus system. I wonder if other cities that incorporate multiple transit systems have a similar problem.

Lots of cities with multiple transit agencies are on Google Transit. San Francisco is one example. The only reason the KC coverage doesn’t include Johnson County is because The JO has not yet sent their route data to Google. If you want to see it, contact the Jo people and ask them to do it.

I contacted the folks at the JO and someone provided an immediate response. Basically, he said they do not have enough staff to provide Google with the amount of data they need to make it work. But he also said they haven’t given up on it, it will just take a while if it happens.
They should rename it from TheJO to TheJOKE.
Hahaha…that is hilarious! “Ride The JO out to The Joke!”…But somehow they don’t get the/on ‘the joke’…it’s ok, they will eventually but it won’t be funny anymore…

I underatand TheJO is adding their information to Google Transit, as well. though not until June or July. Not sure if Google Transit will then be able to integrate them seamlessly or not.

It is still like having to choose between someone’s left nut or someone’s right nut to rule your life, and the people who put such lame choices in society should have to choose between our left nuts or our right nuts to rule them this upcoming presidential election.
Or we can just take the forty percent independents in this nation, grab a few democrats or even republicans in the process, and just completely redistribute cash flow in this nation to make sure that those who care about this continent’s evironmental security are prosperous and those who need a bloodbath to get their dicks up can either take what they still have and leave the continent, or stay and have their business licenses taken away because of the negligence the equivalent of armed criminal action and murder that they commit to keep their maggot elites running deez streetz.
Synchronizing all the worlds resources is armed criminal action… the alleged hostile takeovers, and attempts to subjugate humankind under what George Bush calls some “god of all” or stupid shit is the equivalent of murder.
Any being that claims to rule all (whether true or not) is guilty of murder, because the slow death they attempt to put humankind to sleep with might as well be murder, and should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law… ESPECIALLY if they use the medical profession to attempt to enact these polices.
