Funkhouser sends the light rail down Troost and included commuter rail to places like Lee's Summit and Grandview to shore up the votes for it to pass. The commuter rail is pretty costly considering the low population density. And light rail on Troost running all the way to Gladstone might cost the idea some Northland votes. I won't elaborate on that. I think Gillham would've been better, since it's between Main and Troost, and would put the route near both Crown Center and Hospital Hill as it nears downtown. Troost is too far on the East side IN downtown to make it an attractive option for conventioneers and P&L District patrons. Express buses to KCI are good, to Parkville though, I dunno.
