Let’s Go KC talks about KCK getting Sunday bus service for the first time. It’s amazing that such a transit-dependent community doesn’t already offer bus service seven days a week.
KC Light Rail discusses poll results that show a majority of metro area residents support the idea of a multi-county regional transportation tax on the Missouri side. It looks like support for a regional system might be higher than a starter line within KCMO.

Sunday service would be great to the Northland, but it all comes down to two things: funding and ridership. If NKC subsidises it, it could happen. Same with Prairie Village, which should have it too. $5/gallon gas is not far off, maybe that’ll be enough to wake them up. For those who don’t already know, the times we are experiencing now is referred to as PEAK OIL (google it) and it’s only going to get worse. People will be looking for all kinds of ways to cut back, starting with energy consumption and cheaper meals. Please realize that every gallon of gas wasted makes your job less secure.
