Recent heavy rains have caused sewer overflows into Flush Brush Creek, forcing Saturday’s dragon boat races to be postponed until July 26. That’s too bad, because the floating turds would have added an obstacle course element to the boat races.

What stinks is the $2-3 BILLION dollar CSO plan isn’t going to eliminate overflows, just reduce them to a few per year after the largest rainstorms. It’s a big problem.
So that’s what I keep smelling!
Well this should make the duckie race more interesting.
I wish people wouldn’t say “Flush Creek.” It’s just perpetuating a negative image of a place that is (generally) a nice place to walk around.
Me and the big lug like to go fishing in Brush Creek after a storm. Heck, it’s the only time we can catch the Boneless Brown Trout.
It’s an easy fish to catch, you only need a net (they don’t move too fast) but they’re hell to fry!!!!
“Perpetuates a negative image” I think we are past that point by far.
