Today is the 75th anniversary of the Union Station Massacre, an infamous shootout between law enforcement and the Kansas City Mob in 1933. Tonight the station will show a new documentary about the massacre called Shooting Back in Time. It is produced by Terrance O’Malley, who created the excellent Nelly Don documentary that played at the Screenland for several weeks last year.

This is a great opportunity to learn more about an important part of Kansas City’s history.  To learn even more about the history of the mob in KC, go to the Plaza Library on Sunday for a discussion with author Frank Hayde.
