Dave-o,

You can thank the “leaders” of Jackson County for giving the Chiefs such a great deal with the stadium that they pretty much get all the revenue created by the stadium (How much do you think Clark made from the KU/MU football game?).

Plus, you can thank the voters of Jackson county for giving the Chiefs even MORE money by passing that stupid stadium renovation that’s going to help Hunt and Peterson rake in more of your money.

The Chiefs don’t care about the fans – they care about YOUR MONEY.

Since Clark Hunt can sell the naming rights of a publicly owned/maintained property and pocket the cash, can I sign up somewhere to make a few bucks by selling the naming rights to Ward Parkway and Loose Park to corporate sponsors?

The idea of Cordish as a sponsor actually made me laugh out loud. I know you’re kidding, but imagine if those crooks tried instituting the same dress code at Arrowhead that they have at P&L. You’d have a riot on your hands. The fans would tear the stadium down.

Considering the way the Chiefs played last season and how soft they appear on defense going into this season, “Cupcake Stadium” might be appropriate.

I think that name would offend people who like cupcakes, though. If you buy a package of cupcakes, at least you’re getting some value for your money. Plunk down $75 for a Chiefs ticket, and you’ll get four hours of semiliterate redneck gasbags, dingy cramped seats, watered down beer and barely watchable football.

I know where my money will be going this year. It certainly won’t be spent helping to pay Carl Peterson’s salary.

I think for it to be appropriate for this city, it definitely needs to be a corporate comapny outside of KC…one that destroys local businesses. Hmmmm, Cordish Colliseum…or perhaps a local company that is as trashy as the Cheifs ownership, Deffenbaugh Landfill, has a good ring to it…

But seriously, Garmin would be a great sponsor. It would bring national attention to our other lesser known big corporation based in Kansas.
