Comedy returns to Westport

August 26, 2008 |

The Glazer clan may have packed up Stanford’s and moved their drama to the hinterlands of KCK.  The Power & Light District may be planning to bring a St. Louis comedy chain to Downtown. But Westport will not be denied its comedy. Improv troupe ComedyCity has relocated from Downtown’s Columbus Park neighborhood to a new space in the Westport Flea Market, Bar, and Grill. ComedyCity started out in the back of Torre’s Pizza, now the Dark Horse Tavern, so this actually a homecoming for them.

The new location should give ComedyCity a higher profile, and help reinforce Westport’s emerging role as a home-grown alternative to the Power & White District.
