Geography joins evolutoin as an endangered species in Kansas
August 21, 2008 |
This is what happens when a political party continually attacks science topics like evolution - other subjects like geography begin to slip. In a bizarre move, the Kansas Republican Party is criticizing the Kansas City, Missouri City Council for taking a week off to attend the Democratic National Convention. WTF? Wrong state, bozos.
It’s fine that the Missouri GOP joins the criticism, but what’s the big deal? While the City Council is officially non-partisan, every member is a Democrat in their private lives. This is not a secret. It’s unlikely the Democratic Party would bother to complain if the Leawood or Lee’s Summit city councils took time off to attend the Republican convention.

Maybe they need a refresher on exactly why Kansas City is in Missouri
Republicans, by nature, are really only good at smearing people and changing the subject.
The things they decide to get them worked up about are small issues that don’t matter, so no one will notice how badly they are screwing up the BIG THINGS.
Examples:
- Don’t pay attention to the deficits or the falling dollar - Obama’s not wearing a flag pin!
- New Orleans is still in shambles 2 years later. The real issue? Gay people are getting married!
- We have massive debts to China, Billions wasted in Iraq, Afghanistan is falling apart, but the real issue? John Edwards cheated on his wife!
This pattern isn’t an accident - they create these phony issues on purpose to get dumb people to vote for them and ignore real important issues.
Please, this year, for a change, can we all vote for SMART people in November instead of crazy conservatives and/or plain-talkin’ simpletons? No more Phill Klines, Matt Blunts or George Bush types, ok?
BTW, Bad omen: Evolution is spelled wrong
