@BlogKCLive! Late-Breaking! Investigative! Sleazy! Channel 5 has won the rights to televise the next three Plaza lighting ceremonies, beating out long time presenter Channel 9. We can’t wait to see how KCTV sleazes up this Kansas City institution. Perhaps they will conduct Internet perv stings live from inside the crowd?

Perhaps a Plaza Lighting Weather Special hosted by Katie Horner giving her an hour to use satellites, maps, and 3-d models to explain that if you are going to The Plaza in November it will probably be cold and you should wear a jacket…

How about a KCTV5 investigation by Ash-har Quraishi into why it’s called the “Plaza LIghting Ceremony” instead of the “Plaza CHRISTMAS Lighting Ceremony” – Why does the plaza hate Christmas? It is a secular conspiracy? Are they godless communists? And why aren’t they wearing flag lapel pins?
