Vote Early, not often

October 26, 2008 |

Election agencies are predicting record turnout for the upcoming election.  Many polling places could see very long lines and wait times. So skip the lines and vote early.  Here is how you can do it:

Kansas - advance voting is legal and encouraged.  In KCK, go to the election office at 850 State Avenue.  In Johnson County you can go to any of four advance voting locations.

Missouri - There is no advance voting, only absentee voting. That means you have to tell a little white lie and say that you will be unable to vote on election day. Absentee ballots can be obtained at your county election office in Clay, Platte, or suburban Jackson. For KCMO residents south of the river, the KCMO Election Board is pushing envelope of absentee voting by setting up six absentee voting locations throughout the city.  Just stop by any location and vote early.
