It's all about viewership = Revenue = profit. They have been sensationalize every thing, egzagerating stories for years. It been about shock news, not the stuff that is real news, not things that effect peoples lives or even matter to our lives, not news to make their life better, help better the city. They harp on the negative only, and if nothing happened today, they will make something out of nothing to get you to watch. Going by the local news nothing good ever happens in KC, just murder, rape and crime of all kinds, it is the cesspool of the country according to them. They provide entertainment, a TV version of the tabloids, their reporters are nothing more than Paparatse looking for dirty laundry to sensationalize to get you to watch. So sure they want the typecast dumb blond with a big chest with the IQ presents of Pairs Hilton, it fits what they are tying to do, anything to get you to set and watch there mind numbing tabloid trash they call news. This is why I stopped watching the local "news" years ago I would no more witch the local news than I would read the Star or Enquirer.
