Plaza lighting ceremony details

The 80th annual lighting ceremony will run from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thanksgiving evening.  Saturday Night Live star and Johnson County native Jason Sedakis will flip the switch at 7:30 p.m. KCTV-5 will broadcast the event.

KCATA will run MAX service every 15 minutes from 4:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.  However, the MAX station on J.C. Nichols Parkway will close at 6:00 p.m. Buses can be boarded instead Main Street at 47th (Cleaver II Blvd).  #51-Broadway and #57-South Oak are also good options for getting to the Plaza.
