Succotash closed during move to Midtown

If you tried to eat breakfast at Succotash during your City Market run this past weekend, don’t be alarmed.  While it is currently closed, it is relocating to Midtown’s Longfellow neighborhood.  Succotash’s new location should be open in a few weeks at 26th and Holmes, just east of Crown Center and south of Hospital Hill.

Two blocks from You Say Tomato? I hope YST isn’t negatively impacted by this move.

It’s also a block away from Teocale, but I think the more the merrier, it’ll more people to this part of town.

Does anyone know why they are moving?

  4. stephjoyous says:

because they want to get in on yuppy town. plus the rent and shit is probably cheaper over here.

I heard it had something to do with the River Market management. Who ever took over management a couple of years ago has drained all of the fun out of it. Remember when you could bring your doggie with you to the River Market?

i also remember stepping in dog shit – that was fun.

  7. Timmy says:

I haven’t eaten there in years…eggs are fine, but not on EVERYTHING

  8. Timmy says:

And the dog thing is a city ordinance…has nothing to do with management…

  9. Improbus says:

There is a Monty Python spam joke in there somewhere.

Hopefully with the move service will return. In the last two years they did not have poor service they had no service. Are they really going to reopen?

You said it. Their service was so bad I’ve boycotted it that last two years. I know they have that alternative/hippie vibe thing working, but when it impacts your business negatively, it’s not cool.
