Dueling rankings say KC is simultaneously awesome and miserable

Forbes thinks we are the 13th most miserable city in the country – based on crime, taxes, and sucky pro sports teams. (Via KMBC)

Meanwhile, the Gallup poll says that Kansas Citians themselves think of the city as the 10th happiest in terms of health, environment, employment, and personal well being.

Here’s hoping we can all get through the weekend with the cognitive dissonance of sucking and rocking at the same time.
