Waldo Rapist moves into Brookside?

KMBC-TV 9 reports that the Waldo Rapist may have crossed Gregory Boulevard and struck in Brookside. KCPD has a sketch of what they think he looks like, but so far haven’t commented on any leads in the investigation.

Forbes thinks we are the 13th most miserable city in the country – based on crime, taxes, and sucky pro sports teams. (Via KMBC)
Meanwhile, the Gallup poll says that Kansas Citians themselves think of the city as the 10th happiest in terms of health, environment, employment, and personal well being.

A new snow storm is coming tonight, and the City is asking residents to assist the snow plow crews by parking off the streets if possible.  As always, parking on emergency snow routes is illegal when the snow ordinance is activated.

Yesterday Ripple Glass announced that the first batch of insulation made from Kansas Citians’ recycled beer and wine bottles rolled of the production line at Owens-Corning’s KCK plant.

KC population revised up to 480,129

The City has once again successfully challenged the Census Bureau’s annual population estimate.  We are now 480,120 strong. As recently as last year the official count was 450,000. Liberty smoking ban – voters approved increasing the existing smoking, removing an exemption for bars and restaurants.
School bonds were approved in the Independence and Center districts.
Clay County’s jail tax was extended.
