If you missed this morning’s mad scramble for the limited supply of TEDxKC tickets, there are a few other options available.  Other TEDx events are coming up September 30th in Tulsa, October 15th in Chicago, and October 16th in Omaha.  Or start your BIL, an alternative to TED.

Update: TEDxKC is sold out.  VML really needs to choose a bigger venue.  Giving the Social Media Clubs early access to tickets also reduced access for everyone else.

If you are someone you know is facing foreclosure, the Feds will be in town on Wednesday providing face-to-face counseling and planning.  It’s Wednesday 1:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Bartle Hall.  Get the details and list of documentation to bring.

Last week we were stoked for the KC Beerfest’s move to Midtown, but it didn’t go so well.  KC Beer Blog reports that the fund raiser for the KC Free Health Clinic ran out of beer, apparently due to beer distributors reneging on commitments of donated beer.

This could almost be ripped from the Onion if it wasn’t real.  The white supremacist who almost moved the Aryan Nations headquarters to KCK in 2005 apparently ended up moving from Pennsylvania to Oak Grove and has been working at a gas station there.  Now he is now opening an under-21 nightclub in Odessa’s dying [...]
